Paimfrut is a co-operative of agricultural producers. It is placed in the heart of the plain of Catania and extends over 830 hectares. It is specialized in the production, working and packaging of several kinds of citrus such as blood oranges, Moro oranges, Navel, tarocco Valencia, Mandarins, Clementine Nova, Tacle and lemons. Paimfrut was born in 2004 and since that year, it’s associates have always promoted a project of an ecologically sustainable company, paying attention to the whole working process. That’s why the company uses solar energy to supply power to the all structure. In this way environment is respected and, at the same time it is possible to produce more than 150.000 kilos of packaged goods per day. The warehouse has a floor area of 6000 sqm that can work up to 5000 tons of oranges per day. The structure has several working lines for citrus, grapes, pomegranates, kiwis. It has also cooling systems for the products which are destinated to the foreign markets. The company is always evaluating new business relations, in particular with the big organized distribution, in particular with the French one.........
